New Classroom Decor Set!

Classroom Jobs

This week, I have started designing new classroom decor! I am excited to announce that I have uploaded my new classroom jobs signs in turquoise & chalkboard and in teal & chalkboard. I have am currently working on a teal, chalkboard, white & gray classroom decor set that will include the teal & chalkboard classroom jobs. Stay tuned to see a preview :)

Writer's Eye Posters

I just finished designing my Writer's Eye editing posters. I used something similar in my classroom last year to encourage my students to edit/revise their writing pieces. The posters include various writing skills such as beginning each sentence with a capital letter, ending each sentence with punctuation, and using sensory words in your writing. With each poster, I included a sentence strip that shows students an example of that skill. I created a colorful version and a black & white version with colored accents. This way they will look great any classroom. I am so excited to try these out this year! Check them out below.

First TPT products!

I just uploaded my first TPT products! Check them out!

My free product is an informational book on animal feet. I used this book in my classroom when doing a mini unit on researching. Students had to research how animals look. They studied animal heads, animal coverings, and animal feet. Download out my book here!

My other product is a short vowel bundle. The bundle has worksheets and activities for short a, e, i, o, and u.I plan to use this with my first graders at the beginning of the year to review short vowel sounds and words. Click here to check out my Short Vowel Word Work Activity Bundle!

Welcome to my blog!  I started this blog as I continue my new adventures teaching first grade.  I was an elementary resource teacher for four years and last year I made the switch to first grade.  I am so thrilled I get to work with a fabulous team, spend time with my awesome students, and get to dig deeper into the common core.  I absolutely love designing lessons and developing curriculum.
